About
Yutong Ren
Physics undergraduate at Peking University, writing public notes on high-energy physics, mathematics, code, and the ideas that keep returning.
I am originally from Taiyuan, Shanxi. My main interests lie in high-energy physics, mathematical physics, and the use of machine learning in scientific research.
Research
I am still at an early stage, which is exactly why I like keeping a public notebook. It lets me record what I am learning rather than only presenting finished conclusions.
This Website
I do not want this site to read like a second PDF resume. It is closer to a long-term research journal: part notebook, part archive, part personal space.
Outside Physics
Beyond coursework and research, I spend time on literature, films, and the occasional essay. I prefer a website that leaves room for both disciplined study and wider curiosity.
What I Usually Put Here
- reading notes in particle physics and mathematics
- small coding projects and experiments
- reflections on books, films, and university life
- the questions I am working through in public
What I Prefer to Leave to the Resume
Detailed rankings, award lists, phone numbers, and other strictly formal material make more sense in a CV. On a personal website, I would rather show what I am genuinely thinking about.
If something on this site resonates with you, I am happy to talk about physics, code, books, films, or anything in between.
